It retains all its charm as a lived in house without losing the splendour of the Victorian architecture and furnishings and it can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests. The golf courses of St Andrews and Carnoustie are easily reached by car or helicopter and there are many fine local golf courses nearby.

The heart of the house is
the large Victorian drawing room which is the ideal place
to relax in comfort in front of the log fire during the day
or after the evening meal. The original wallpaper sets off
the gilt framed Italian paintings perfectly in this stunning
room. Though large, the room offers more intimate settings
in the bay windows or around the grand piano. |

Across the vaulted hallway is the stylish dining room with a beautiful mahogany table that extends to seat up to 20 diners. This room is spacious, light and fresh; less grand but more elegant than the drawing room. It has a splendid ornate framed mirror as well as original family portraits. We particularly like the handsome portrait of George Cruickshank that hangs above the fireplace. |

The lower ground floor has been refurbished
as an amenity area with full sized snooker table, comfortable
sofas and table tennis. Its French windows open out onto a
sheltered terrace leading to the original croquet lawn and
tranquil woodland gardens with specimen trees.
All the bedrooms are unique, stylish and comfortable and the bathrooms are very special- some with original Victorian baths.
